dc.description.abstractΤο κύριο αντικείμενο της διατριβής είναι η διερεύνηση της Μεθόδου των Θεμελιωδών Λύσεων (ΜΘΛ) σε προβλήματα των οποίων τα χωρία έχουν αξονική συμμετρία. Συγκεκριμένα μελετήθηκε η εφαρμογή της ΜΘΛ σε αρμονικά και διαρμονικά προβλήματα σε δαχτυλοειδή χωρία (Κεφάλαια 2 και 3) όπως επίση ς και σε πολλαπλώς συνεκτικά αξισυμμετρικά χωρία (κεφάλαιο 4).el
dc.description.abstractThe main objective in this thesis is the investigation of the application of the Method of Fundamental Solutions (MFS) to certain problems in rotationally symmetric domains. In particular, the application of the MFS to certain harmonic and biharmonic problems in annular domains (Chapters 2 and 3) and to hollow axisymmetric domains is studied.en
