dc.description.abstract | Although hyperparathyroidism is a rare condition in young children, the pediatric surgeon is asked occasionally to participate in the management of a child with parathyroid disease. In this paper we report on a girl with global glomerulosclerosis, an unsuccessful renal transplantation and a long-term peritoneal dialysis, who developed an autonomous hyperparathyr oidism. Emphasis is placed on the preoperative diagnosis and surgical management in children. © 1995, Georg Thieme Verlag KG Stuttgart, New York. All rights reserved. | en |
