This chapter discusses changes in the economic performance of ethnic minorities relative to the white native population. It begins by describing the size and geographic distribution of the United Kingdom's minority population. It studies the intergenerational comparison of the different ethnic minority groups in Britain in terms of education, employment, and wages. The chapter also examines the gap in educational attainment between white British-born and ethnic minority pupils. © Oxford University Press 2011. All rights reserved.
