The method of fundamental solutions is described for the solution of elliptic boundary value problems governed by Laplace's equation in the plane subject to nonlinear radiation-type boundary conditions. The effectiveness of the method is demonstrated by examining its performance on two problems from the literature, and comparisons are made with published results obtained using boundary element methods. © 1989 Oxford University Press.
