dc.description.abstractWe use the cooling technique to study the string tension in pure SU(2) gauge theory. We find that statistical errors are drastically reduced and at the same time the string tension is preserved through many cooling steps. We also analyze field configurations between a static qq pair and we find a clear evidence of chromoelectric flux tube configurations. © 1990.en
