dc.description.abstract | DRIMPAC project aims to enable the participation of small prosumers (building level) in implicit and explicit demand response programs within a future electricity market environment. It will address the interoperability gaps and standards fragmentation along the DSO-prosumer path by developing an end-to-end solution connecting the major standards (OpenADR, OneM2M, IEC 61850...), while striking the right balance between comfort preservation and energy conservation in home dwellings via environment and preferences monitoring and intelligent algorithms. It will support multiple building topologies covering over 90% of building stock and 40% of final energy use in Europe and various energy mixes (electricity, gas, district heating) for a holistic optimization framework unlocking a vast resource of local demand flexibility. The expected benefits include potentially lower energy usage and costs for the occupants, increased self-consumption, peak shaving and load shifting ancillary services offered to the DSO, leading to new business opportunities for aggregators, building managers, retailers. In the present paper, the project concept and the preliminary high-level system architecture are presented along with the pilot plans for system validation and demonstration. | en |
