dc.description.abstractThis chapter introduces the adaptation of the conventional simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) beamforming to the case of symbol-level precoding in order to harness interference for both information decoding and energy transfer. It aims to optimize data-aided precoding design in a multiple-input single-output (MISO) broadcast channel with power splitting (PS) receivers by exploiting constructive interference as a useful source for both signal and power transfer. The chapter studies the problem of transmit power minimization under both signal to interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) and energy harvesting (EH) constraints. It formulates the considered optimization problem based on constructive interference (CI) precoding and provides mathematical programming formulations offering lower and upper bounds to the solution of the problem. The chapter examines the performance of the successive linear approximation algorithm and investigates the benefits of harnessing interference signals.en
