This study explores the detailed relationship between organizational profitability and strategic human resource management (SHRM) practices. Utilizing data from the Cranet 2020 survey, the study examines incentives and rewards, formal training programs, performance reviews, and selective hiring in select countries. The study uses a descriptive research approach and statistical methods, such as regression analysis, to determine whether a relationship exists between organizations that apply human resource management strategically and the firm’s profitability. Findings strongly support the argument that HR professionals holding a more strategic role can lead to significant benefits at the firm level. This suggests that investing more in strategic HRM is an appropriate strategy for organizations to gain a competitive advantage. The results offer firms seeking to match SHRM practices to national patterns strategic insights. SHRM practices are essential to organizational profitability, focusing on SHRM’s influence on organizational success.
