dc.description.abstractNano-crystalline lead telluride powder was synthesized by mechanical alloying using a high-energy planetary ball mill. The broadening of the X-ray diffraction peaks vs ball milling time, indicates small crystalline size of the order of 30nm. JR spectroscopy results are discussed and compared to the material prepared from melt. © 2009 Materials Research Society.en
