The thermoelectric properties of the selected members of the LaNi 1-xCoxO3 solid solution were investigated. The electrical properties of the solution investigated were determined from the doping level. The substitution of Ni by Co drives the system from n-type metallic phase with low thermopower values into p-type semiconducting phase with high thermopower values. It was found that the thermal conductivity of the lanthanum compound is insensitive even for a 1000-fold change in the resistivity caused by heavy doping.en
