| dc.description.abstract | Spanish En el presente trabajo se realiza un acercamiento y estudio, desde la perspectiva de la lexicografía, en muchos de los casos de manera comparativa, a las festividades que tienen lugar en diferentes puntos de la geografía griega durante los días del periodo festivo de la Navidad y del Carnaval previos a la Pascua cristiana ortodoxa. Esta visión pretende ser un estudio diacrónico de la terminología que se emplea actualmente en estos ritos y que viene a mostrar cómo estas tradiciones hunden sus raíces en la Antigüedad, así como poner de manifiesto las múltiples influencias que han recibido, tanto a nivel terminológico como cultural. De este modo, estas festividades de carácter paneuropeo, que poseen unas raíces que se pierden en la Antigüedad, tomaron una forma determinada en la cultura griega antigua, bajo el dominio de diferentes ritos cultuales y religiosos, para ser transportados y expandidos por todos los lugares donde la influencia griega ha dejado su impronta. Estos ritos del carnaval tradicional son un reflejo de su evolución histórica a lo largo de muchos siglos y muestran, de manera evidente, los rasgos y elementos que han ido adoptando en su devenir histórico. Reflejan tanto elementos en la práctica como en el léxico, con términos adoptados de las múltiples lenguas y culturas que han entrado en contacto con la lengua griega y su historia milenaria. Pueden apreciarse, por tanto, influencias romanas, eslavas, turcas, italianas y francas, que han ido dando forma a los diversos personajes que participan en el ritual y en su trama dramática. English In the present work an approach and study is made to the festivities that take place in different points of the Greek geography during the days of the festive period of Christmas and Carnival before the Orthodox Christian Easter, from the perspective of lexicography, in many of the cases in a comparative way. This vision aims to be a diachronic study of the terminology that is currently used in these rites and which shows how these traditions sink their roots in the Antiquity, as well as highlights the multiple influences they have received, both terminologically and culturally. In this way, these festivities with a pan-European character, which have roots that are lost in the Antiquity, took a determined form in the ancient Greek culture, under the dominion of different cultic and religious rites, to be transported and expanded by all the places where the Greek influence has left its imprint. These rites of the traditional carnival are a reflection of its historical evolution throughout many centuries and they show, evidently, the features and elements that they have been adopting in its historical development. They reflect both elements in practice and in the lexicon, with terms adopted from the many languages and cultures that have come into contact with the Greek language and its millennial history. Roman, Slavic, Turkish, Italian, and Frankish influences can be seen, which have shaped the various characters involved in the ritual and its dramatic plot. | es |
