The article provides information concerning issues about literary theory as well as narcissism of postmodern theory and the opposing relation between a healthy, text-directed traditional critic and a self-absorbed theorist. It presents several scholars including Shoshana Felman, Martin McQuillan, and Martin Heidegger. It also presents several literary works of Jacques Derrida including "Glas" and "Memoirs of the Blind 89."
