The LGBTI movement in Cyprus: activism, law, and change across the divide

Abstract

This report assesses the extent to which LGTBI people in both parts of Cyprus enjoy the rights to equality and nondiscrimination. The recognition of the LGBTI community as a legitimate political actor and the recognition of LGBTI rights has been a slow and difficult process on both sides of the divide.
