dc.description.abstract | This issue is compiled as an attempt to explore the field of technology-enhanced teaching and learning in order to highlight a range of approaches in using research evidence to promote authentic learning through effective teaching. It also emphasizes the important role of educational research in designing and evaluating learning environments for scientific thinking. The six papers have been specifically selected for this purpose from a total of 122 papers presented at the Sixth International Conference on Computer-Based Learning in Science, which took place at the University of Cyprus from 5-10 July 2003.
