The structures, NMR spectra and electrochemical properties of the vanadium(III) compounds, cis-[VIIICl2-(acac)(bpy)] and [VIII(quin)3]·2CH3OH, formed from [VIVCl2(acac)2]·0.25CH2Cl 2 (Hacac = pentane-2,4-dione) and [VIVOCl2(thf)2] with bpy and Hquin respectively are described as well as the structure of the catecholate dioxovanadium(v) dimer [Et3NH]2[VO2(μ-dtbc)]2 (H2dtbc = 3,5-di-tert-butylcatechol).
