This dissertation was produced as a requirement for the Master of Business Economics degree at the University of Cyprus. Numerous facets of European venture capital investments were investigated in this study. First, a definition of venture capitalists is provided. Second, it focused on the impact of the COVID-19 virus on venture capital investments in Europe and how investments are impacted by country, industry, and region. Additionally, it will look at how these investments are impacted by a country's GDP per capita. Finally, we'll examine if the location of the investment—domestic, within Europe, or non-domestic, outside Europe— is significant to VCs. The focus of the analysis will be on the two key time periods before and after the Coronavirus on all the previously mentioned parameters.
