Le rôle des connecteurs dans l'acquisition des compétences discursives en français langue étrangère : Étude de cas d’apprenants chypriote

Abstract

Η γνώση μιας ξένης γλώσσας υπερβαίνει τις απλές λεξιλογικές και γραμματικές πτυχές. Είναι μια σύνθετη διαδικασία πολιτιστικής και γνωστικής εξερεύνησης που περιλαμβάνει προηγμένη επικοινωνία και επιχειρηματολογία. Στο επίκεντρο αυτής της προσπάθειας βρίσκονται οι συνδετικές λέξεις, ουσιαστικά. Γλωσσικά στοιχεία που διευκολύνουν τη δόμηση του λόγου. Οι συνδετικές λέξεις καθοδηγούν τον αναγνώστη ή τον ακροατή μέσα από τις ιδέες, ομαλά και συνεκτικά, προάγοντας την κατανόηση και την πειθώ. Η παρούσα διδακτορική διατριβή μελετά την χρήση των συνδετικών λέξεων στον γραπτό λόγο Κυπρίων φοιτητών που έχουν την γαλλική ως ξένη γλώσσα. Η μελέτη διερευνά την ποσοτική και ποιοτική χρήση των συνδετικών λέξεων , καθώς και τον ρόλο τους ως οργανωτές κειμένου. Εξετάζει επίσης την επιρροή του εκπαιδευτικού πλαισίου και των μεθόδων διδασκαλίας σχετικά με τη χρήση των συνδετικών λέξεων από τους φοιτητές. Επιπλέον, μελετάται η επίδραση της σημασιολογικής χρήσης των συνδετικών λέξεων στα ελληνικά, τη μητρική γλώσσα των φοιτητών, όσον αφορά τη χρήση τους στα γαλλικά. Χρησιμοποιώντας ένα σώμα γραπτών κειμένων Κύπριων φοιτητών αυτή η έρευνα συμβάλλει στην κατανόηση των μηχανισμών απόκτησης ξένων γλωσσών, αναδεικνύοντας τη σημασία των συνδετικών λέξεων στη δημιουργία κειμένων με συνοχή και σωστή επιχειρηματολογία Επιπλέον, η χρήση του σώματος κειμένων προτείνεται για εκπαιδευτικούς σκοπούς στην τάξη μέσα από δραστηριότητες προφορικής και γραπτής έκφρασης. Η παρούσα μελέτη εντάσσεται λοιπόν στο ευρύτερο πλαίσιο γλωσσικής και διδακτικής έρευνας με στόχο τη βελτίωση των μεθόδων διδασκαλίας στη διδασκαλία της Γαλλικής ως Ξένης Γλώσσας, αναδεικνύοντας τον καθοριστικό ρόλο αυτών των λέξεων.

Mastering a foreign language goes as well beyond simple lexical and grammatical aspects. It is a complex process of cultural and cognitive exploration that encompasses advanced communication and argumentation. At the center of this effort, there are the connectors, essential linguistic elements that facilitate the structuring of discourse. The connectors guide the reader or listener through the ideas smoothly and coherently, promoting understanding and persuasion. This doctoral thesis studies the integration of logical connectors in the written production of Cypriot learners in French as a foreign language. The study explores the quantitative and qualitative use of connectors, as well as their role as textual organizers. It also examines the influence of educational context and teaching methods concerning the use of connectors by learners. Moreover, the impact of the semantic use of connectors in Greek, the learners’ mother tongue, regarding their use in French is studied. Our analysis takes into account the evolution of the mastery of connectors according to the level of study of the learners and their previous exposure to this linguistic aspect. Using a corpus of Cypriot learners, this research contributes to the understanding of the mechanisms of foreign language acquisition, by highlighting the importance of logical connectors in the construction of coherent, persuasive, and argumentative texts. In addition, the use of the corpus studied for educational reasons is presented in this study by proposing activities of oral expression. This study is therefore part of the broader framework of linguistic and didactic research aimed at improving the teaching methods in the teaching of French as a Foreign Language, highlighting the crucial role of these words.

Cette thèse doctorale se penche sur l'intégration des connecteurs logiques dans la production écrite des apprenants chypriotes en français langue étrangère (FLE). L'étude explore l'utilisation quantitative et qualitative des connecteurs, ainsi que leur rôle en tant qu'organisateurs textuels. Elle examine également l'influence du contexte éducatif et des méthodes pédagogiques sur l'utilisation des connecteurs par les apprenants. De plus, l'impact de l'usage sémantique des connecteurs en grec, la langue maternelle des apprenants, sur leur utilisation en français est étudiée. Notre analyse prend en compte l'évolution de la maîtrise des connecteurs en fonction du niveau d'études des apprenants et de leur exposition antérieure à cet aspect linguistique. En utilisant un corpus d'apprenants chypriotes, cette recherche contribue à la compréhension des mécanismes d'acquisition des langues étrangères, en mettant en lumière l'importance des connecteurs logiques dans la construction de textes argumentatifs cohérents et persuasifs.
