The present thesis examines how the introduction of forensics in architecture contributes to the democratization of the space. It follows procedures performed during forensic investigations to highlight issues related to spatial justice and the democratic space, and transfer us from the space of violence to the space of democracy. The project regards Cyprus as its research field, searching for incidents of violence. Following the logic of forensic investigations, the incidents are deconstructed, analyzed, reconstructed and then resynthesized in the form of spatial conditions that indicate features of the institutional and the private space, bringing them together to define new critical narratives of spatial justice. The proposal alternates between two parallel states; the allegoric and the programmatic. The forensic sequence of crime scene - laboratory - court room is translated into a broader process taking place at the centre of the island’s capital, where several places related to democracy exist. The process involves observation and recording of issues pertaining to the democratic space and the everyday activity happening there, collective decision-making and conveyance to the elected bodies and the public.
