dc.description.abstract | This paper aims to explore the significance of emotional intelligence in the workplace and its impact on employees' wellbeing. It is based on secondary research method and the literature review is divided into three sections. In the first section, we provide an overview of emotional intelligence, starting with the theoretical framework of EQ. We then discuss the importance of cultivating emotional intelligence from childhood while also trying to understand how culture and socialization affect development. The second section presents an extensive analysis on leadership, and how emotional intelligence affects the workplace. In the final section, there are suggestions on how HR can encourage and develop emotional intelligence in the workplace. | en |
