The purpose of this quantitative survey was to investigate the views of employees in Cyprus on the impact of remote working during the COVID-19 pandemic in relation to work-life balance and performance levels, two extremely important factors of working life. The research also aimed to determine whether remote work has facilitated better integration between work and life or caused further conflict, leading to potential burnout and other challenges. To implement the above objectives of the study, quantitative data were collected from 100 employees (27 men and 70 women) in Cyprus, through an online questionnaire posted on Google Forms. To analyze the data, the collected data was transferred from the Google Forms platform to the SPSS statistical program, via an Excel file. The tables and diagrams created gave the most important results of the study. According to these results, it is found that remote working has both positive and negative effects on work-life balance and employee performance levels. The extent of the impact also varies between individuals, with some individuals reporting improved work-life balance and performance, while others face challenges in managing workloads and adapting to the dynamics of remote work. Overall, the suggestions provided by the results of this survey highlight the importance of holistic approaches to remote work that prioritize both individual well-being and organizational success.
